Chinatowns

Chinatowns I keep missing photo exhibitions, so it’s time to start reminding myself again. First up is Chinatowns which opens tonight and goes through December 22nd at the Storefront for Art and Architecture down at 97 Kenmare Street. Basically, it’s photos from chinatowns around the world. Sounds very cool to me…

I should remember to get down there.

(Update: Of course I didn’t make it there… lame.)

Speaking of Photo Safaris

If the above clip is any indication, Lagos would be one hell of a trip.

I should remember to visit places like this…

Whale Hunt

articboat.jpg tugofwarwithwhale.jpg One thing I always love doing is going on “photo safaris” around New York with my woman. They always lead to visiting places I wouldn’t normally go or looking at familiar neighborhoods in new ways.

Jonathan Harris of We Feel Fine fame also seems to enjoy a good photo safari, but his most recent was all the way to Barrow, Alaska (the northernmost settlement in the United States) to take part in a whale hunt, “a thousand-year-old tradition that provides the community’s annual food supply” and the result is the amazing Whale Hunt site that documents the whole trip in 5 minute increments.

I should remember try a bigger photo safari sometime…

WordPress Upgrade

Well, I made the mistake of upgrading my WordPress Installation without reading up on the changes and boom… errors all over the page. Oh well, I’ll have to remember to fix those…

(Update: And just like that… they’re gone. Sweet.)
